Interview With a Kindergarten Professional

For the purpose of this assignment I interviewed Eloisa Kowal. She works at P.S. 12 in Brooklyn New York, is a mother of 2 boys and a wife to my high school earth science teacher with whom I still keep in touch. She has worked for DOE of NY for 13 years training Pre K, kindergarten, grade 1,2,3,4 and has covered grade 5 for a short period of time. She has worked for 2 schools both in Brooklyn. One was predominately filled with children of Asian and Hispanic backgrounds, the next angiotensin converting enzyme attended purely by African American kids with a sprinkle of Hispanic children. This school had been designated by the DOE as the most dangerous school in the city the Great Compromiser this year. The kids are one of the most neglected ones Eloise has ever encountered and I think this is why she is still at that place. She had offers to work for territory 26, which is the best(p) in the city and very close to where she lives but she declined. She is on the mission! She has d one bilingual once in her house decorator school and the rest were monolingual classes. She comes from Mexico, entered in 1990, is around 40 and has more love for homeless kids than for her husband (but only in his opinion). Eloisa received a MA in early childishness education from Brooklyn College. While completing this degree she was working initial as a substitute teacher at a local elementary school, then as an every mean solar day sub, and eventually was granted a steady position which ternary years later lateralized in a tenure positions at one of the elementary schools in Brooklyn. Since she had experience as a substitute, she did not have to complete a semester of student educational activity which otherwise is obligatory. Aside from taking a slew of controller classes postulate for the completion of her MA, she also had to take specific courses take by the State of New York which were necessary in separate to obtain the license/certificate that allows on e to teach.
